Portum makes a distinction between three different types of integration.
Optical integration
According to customer requirements the Enterprise Sourcing Cockpit will adopt yourcorporate layout design and can be made available on the corporate home page. This method of integration is designed for corporate portals and market places and Portum customers including TradeRanger, Accenture as well as T-Systems have adopted Portum’s solution into their portals by using the optical integration.
Single-Sign-On
With this integration method user data will be aligned amongst various applications. Users thus need only one user name and password to log on to different applications such as catalogue management, e-Sourcing and supplier databases. They do not need to apply for a password for each single application. Single-Sign-On was realized at Siemens SPLS, for example.
ERP-System-Integration (Enterprise- Resource-Planning)
Integration with an ERP-System is a primary concern for companies looking for an end-to-end solution: Upon request supplier data can be harmonized and aligned for both your e Sourcing Portal as well as your ERP System. In addition, entire processes can be integrated. (For example, assembling a tender through PReq).
